Areas of Expertise

Since August 2005, Barbara has served as the Costume Shop Supervisor.  She has also designed Our Time, The Tempest, Cabaret, Trojan Women, Big Love and The Brecht Plays for the Theatre Department.  Prior to 2005, Barbara was a visiting faculty for several semesters at Williams as well as a Guest Artist for numerous Theatre productions.  She has also been visiting faculty/guest artist for Washington & Lee University, Hunter College, Brown University, West Virginia University and SUNY New Paltz. Professionally, Barbara is a freelance costume designer for over 30 years.  Designs include Crumbs From the Table of Joy (Juilliard School of Drama); Child’s Christmas in Wales, It’s a Wonderful Life (Irish Repertory Theatre); A Thousand Pines (Westport Country Playhouse); The Show-Off (Peccadillo Theatre); Disgraced, Venus Rising (Northern Stage); Doctor’s Dilemma (Peterborough Players); Saintliness of Margery Kempe (Duke on 42nd Street Theatre); world premiere of Theresa Rebeck’s Way of the World, Outside Mullingar, Mousetrap, Clybourne Park, Dial M For Murder (Dorset Theatre Festival); Widowers’ Houses (TACT Theatre); Heartbreak House (Gingold Theatrical); Soldier (HERE Theatre); The Trip to BountifulThe SeafarerDriving Miss Daisy (Capital Repertory Theatre); Clybourne Park (Barrington Stage); Tenderly, To Kill A Mockingbird, Raisin in the Sun, Big River (Weston Playhouse).
